Ever since the BJP has dragged the issue of the black money in swiz bank, the congress and its allies have become arrogant.
The long awaited lokpal bill is still pending, it was been introduced in the period of Indira Gandhi and still they have been postponing it to till date. why? because if they re-introduce the bill in the parliament then its difficult for every corrupt member in the parliament to earn money and contest elections for the next elections... they want to be in power all the time, so they dont want to introduce this bill in the parliament.
The two major scams ie 2G spectrum and the CWG scams have hit the headlines of every newspaper in India and these scams have hit UPA right under the belt. Now these neta's who have been in with these scams with very high profile people have landed in jail. DMK saw seen the peoples wrath, congress is the next.
Anna Hazare's movement for the re-introduction of the same Lokpal bill in to the parliament made roars across every political entity in india, His voice has reached to the ends of every city and each every person who wished for a corrupt free India has joined hands with him till the UPA accepted to draft a committee for the Lokpal bill.
congress has infiltrated the opposition parties, their phones are tapped, their strategy and weakness are known before they act. hence congress is always a step ahead and would act only when its imminent threat to them or public order, the arrogant talk, ignorance of ministers and daring attack on opposition personal only indicates they have in and out information about political parties, so its highly impossible for the opposition to take charge of this situation.
Baba Ramdev is the new entrant and because his actions are ridiculous, how ever the sangh parivar seems to be impressed by his actions, also since he has many followers through out the world and his interest in the political world seems to be like he might lead a new party and this can challenge the current political parties.
So lets wait and see what's gonna happen
after elections
Surprisingly 67% of people who visited this post have voted for NDA but actually NDA has lost by a far margin at the center. None of its plans worked out because of all the controversys they have dragged in before elections itself...anyways this is not the end of NDA and its one of the major opposition to the current government and may be it can come to power in future.. so guys how this post concentrates on the next elections.. and before that i want you guys to share your views over the UPA's current rule.. let us discuss about the flaws in the current era and it might help many of them to judge for the next elections which will be in 2014.
before elections
congress led UPA has definitely lost its charm over the time.. alot of controversys as well as political sagas took place... and i dont think people are still wanting congress in the center... may be bcoz of its historical charm its been in the news all the time but i think the times have changed and young are now thinking of their future... i would say that there will be change which is for sure but we cannot say that UPA will raise to power again or not.. may be it can but if it can then i would say that we are having the worst democracy in this world... anyways UPA's rival NDA is also not so strong as of now... may be it will take some time to pace up and make new friends to come back with a bang!! the recent incidents shows that hindus are angry with other religions and this might effect the politics as much as it can.. since the govt is not so harsh people might believe that they cant rely on the same govt again and again.. so who knows what will happen after 5yrs.. may be things might change and there may be a 3rd front.. why after 5yrs it can also happen even now... so i think that NDA or 3rd Front will come to power in the next elections
i'm not a fan of NDA or 3rd front either and i believe most of the political party exist with corruption in india...so before you vote to any political party make sure that you check its background and also the person whom you are voting, he should have a proper background.. dont vote for moviestars and popular political stars infact vote for them who care for you.
guys i'm not anti upa or anti nda.. all i want is a good governance at the center.. so i so consider everyones opinon.. but there are flaws in both upa as well as nda.. if you favour any of these partys then do mention other partys flaws.. and lets make the discussion more intresting..
who will form the new government at the center in 2009?

I have firm belief that this UPA government has shown that this is an alliance of opportunists. I do agree with your views that this government believes in politics and hesitte in taking quick decisions. It has been proved by its actions during its regime. Whatever statistics it boasts of is the long term result of NDA government's policies. Unfortunate part of whole episode is that no other party is strong enough to get majority on its own. BJP doesn't have any leader of Vajpayees's staure. Sonia is in no way comparable to Indira Gandhi. Rahul has some potential but time will tell only if he succeeds to come over the party politics. Anyways thanks for answering my request and I am satisfied with your write up. Good work and thums up.
Difficult to predict. Let the fat lady sing first!
I would like to share my few views, as far as it is NDA Vs UPA. I will vote for NDA. If you think over the growth, rural employment, infrastructure development for the years of progress India has to run on, Inflation and it's effect on comon man, compitativeness of Indian education and youth, or security of the country.
Please think on everything, which are the factors, which will drive India in a storng or poor future.
The growth that you see today, is a result of NDA policies, Congress was complitly fail on every way for 50 years, Vajpayee lead government has changed the face of nation, and today we see results of Vajpayee's policies, even NDA gov. changed the face of India, for the way world looks at india prior to NDA and now.
Second, rural employment is a biggest worry for India, since entire rural polulation can not depend on agriculture. Vajpayee lead NDA had the vision to provide a solution to this problem of a nation with 1 Bn. heads. He started Express highway projects, connecting major cities of India. which has provided significant employment to rural Indians. Unfortunately this project was stopped by UPA, when they came in power. The second large infrastructure project was in pipe line by NDA, was to connect all the major rivers of India, This would have created lots of rural employment and would have solved flooding problem in northern states of India, and would have also solved a dry situation in states like RJ, MP, AP, GJ, MH, UP, BR, TN, KNThis would have boost the indian rural development and agriculture both, and would have helped to become india self sufficient Nation for food grain demand. Have any one ever though, how many gets nutritious food in India? and what will be the demand in next 10 to 15 years? if every Indian get a nutritious food today, indian GDP will be nearly 0 ( ZERO).
Infrastucture, that UPA would never understand. I have seen parts of india under Congress rule and Bjp rule. Infrastucture is a back bone of BJP, and so it is India's or any other country in the world. I have lived in UK, Europe and USA. There are amazing roads in all this developed nations, now some stupids would say, whats role of good roads in any nation in its development. Then my answer to that is, Good roads not only creates employment when they gets constructed and during the maintanance, but it is a broadway for Industrial growth, it is directly related to transportation facility in the country, through which all the raw materials or finished goods are transported, it is benifit to attract the tourist, an oppertunity to develope tourisam industry there are many more benifits of it, some might be out of my focus. When UPA came to power they opposed express way construction, finally they stopped it. same on UPA and people who brought them in power. Connecting all major rives of INDIA was a even bigger Infrastucture project, and that would have helped india to be a self suficient nation for food demand and would have helped to become a developed nation faster.
Now once compare the inflation in this both government, some may argue UPA have finance minister studied from harward!!!! Well, i only know that prior to 2004, I was paying 35 to 40 Rs. for 1 Kg Daal and even less for 1 Kg. Vegitable in india. Now I pay nearly 100 Rs. for both of them, and Fruit is going to be Ancient item for India. This same thing has been changed for every Indian, Well touch wood and thank to god, that I can still bare this prices. But does anyone has ever cared for the people who earns daily and eats daily???? Shame on India... Shame on people of India... Sorry but, this came from my bottom of the heart...
And at last, Compititiveness of our educational Institutes and youth. Well, This is a major factor for tomorrows india. The way UPA has done Quota system in last five years, it is a same on everybody, how could people of india can tolerate this non-sense (or there is no sense???) We need to produce more and more compitative youth then the others in the world, in this Quota to back wards will not help, this will make our education system poor. Batter provide them educational funding schems from the begining, research constitution or add special provisions for back-ward class in budget, and make a national fund for their education. From the 1947 Idot congress has introduced a Quota system in India. And this time ArjunSingh has crossed every idiots of congress. sorry sorry, Congress leaders are not idiots, but the 1BN. population is Idiot. Congress does this tricks to make their vote banks strong... The days are not far, if UPA returns in power, they will give quota for backwards and muslims in civil services. Then we will have our IAS/IPS and IFS officers, who will be dumb then class 10th student of our good schools.
If you have read this long comment, please now give your brain some thoughts and decide for whom you will vote in General Elections of 2009???? But, don't just think, go and vote, use your democratic right, and remember....every vote makes differance to make our future...

Is this Country ruled on the basis of religion only, the views reflects mentality of the person, he is pro-bjp or pro-nda not of common mans. The ecnomical reforms were intiated by the narsimha rao goverment. telecom revolution started when rajiv gandhi was the pm of india. what is the infra structure intiated by vajpayee goverment! please explain! recession is a world crisis! while i am commenting the inflation rate is below 1%! Can u name a country which is not affected by recession! i am from kuwait working for a korean company! here s.korean are more affected than us! till eighties we were fully depending on goverment projects and schemes! now people have started thinking differently! multinational & private companies started business in our country, all this happened due to six years rule vajpayee! what happened when pakis militants attacked parliament! During vajpayee gov. azhar the paki militant was set free! Regarding the liberal policies mostlyn was intiated by rajiv gandhi goverment. Our lovelable Indian tamils have spoiled sri-lanka, what is ur comment regarding to that! As per ur views sri-lanka should bomb tamil nadu for supporting tamil elam in sri lanka! that voilence is not a part of religion! we are supporting the tibetans! what is ur view regarding that! is there any religious agenda is behind that issue! Here in kuwait the prices of each commodities have arose to 300% more when compared to five years back! There is not a single country in the world the prices of common goods aroused! As per ur comments India should not have got the independence, then what would have u and ur ancestors done!
NDA is far more effective than the present UPA. Even if people hate NDA for Hindutva policies...it has far more potential in terms of development. UPA has done nothing compared to what NDA did during Vajpayee's time. If people like laloo can say railways has seen profit it's bull since the condition of trains has not improved one bit except the fare. Infact it stinks even more. I would vote for NDA anytime.
All educated people Plz Vote for NDA.UPA came to power just because we never turned up to the polling booths and were relexing at our homes. Now as all of us have already suffered under UPA,it is our duty to bring NDA back.Congress controls the uneducated minds of india.Another important point vote for BJP as single party rule is better than any coalition
I think people in India generally have an anti-establishment mentality. To me, UPA seems far superior to NDA. NDA is full of religious fanatics and we will be pushing ourselves back at least a century if they come into power. Long live secular India! Vote for the UPA!
Who will form the government will anyways be known in a few days from now. The important questions is" Who should form the government".
My firm belief is that NDA should form the next government in the larger interest of the nation. There are only 2 issues which are raised against the NDA by all political parties in opposition to NDA. The issues are babri masjid demolition and 2002 gujarat riots. There is nothing else that can be said against the NDA. Both these issues have become irrelevant and people should ignore all the rhetoric around these simply because:
1. Congress and Left say that since BJP is essentially communal and the country will get divided if they come to power then people should understand that the babri masjid demolition happened in a non BJP government so BJP doesnt need to be in government to break masjids assusming the allegation is true for the sake of arguement. So the argument doesnt hold.
2. Repeated harping on the gujarat issue does not help cos the congress is equally guilty on the count rather more cos 1984 riots were not communal riots but a party against a community which is even more dangerous. So in the greater interest of the country we should forget both the incidents and move ahead for development.
Now coming to devlopment, the NDA government got only 1 full term at the centre for 6 yrs and congress has ruled the country for 50 yrs almost. From 1950 - 80, the economic condition of the country only worsened after the bristish left, there is enough conclusive evidence on this ranging from world bank reports to various economist across the board analyzing and consluding the same. At one time even pakistan was growing faster than india but thanks to their other priorities. The garibi hatao was given by Indiraji in 1971 - has the garibi gone. A 2007 report by the state-run National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS) found that 77% of Indians, or 836 million people, lived on less than 20 rupees (approximately USD $0.41) per day. Hunger is still a big problem for india where some states are even worse than ETHIOPIA !!!. On the other hand NDA is more pro-business which is also pointed out by Goldman Sachs recently. They were the only government to have a ministry of disinvestment - though congress might claim credit for reforms but its the NDA that took major steps. The national highways project and linking of major rivers were all NDA ideas dropped by UPA.
Also, congress is plagued by corruption. The bofors scandal and its subsequent handling are evidences for all to see. The ideology of secualrism is only opportunistic and divisive. It is congress which is responsible for so called rise of hindusim by enacting minority specific policies. They have misused absolute majorities to overrule the judiciary as done in indira gandhi election issue and shah bano case.
Its high time that people give a chance to a much disciplined and organized party like BJP to run the country. There have good leaders who have worked at grassroot level and made there way up and not products of any dynasty.
Suri
Suri Sir Ji, you Rock! NDA shall Win!
From my point both are equally bad. Does not make any difference whosoever will be in power. Common man is suffering and will continue suffering as our character and principles are –ve(no more, money is everything). Let us each one us be a good person and select person on their merit.
The Cause for gap between your poll and outcome.
People using internet most of whom are otherwise busy with their work don't go for vote.
Those who have nothing to do and are secure in their thinking that their caste will secure them all government goodies, jobs and all.....are interested in politics and in voting.
The point is that those who work very hard because they know that "politics" is there to demolish them (all parties are pro-reservation. No party dares to speak against this evil)....have lost all interes and faith in the system.
They say... Let the fools elect the fools. No one is ging to help us. So work HARDER and HARDER and if possible go abroad (brain drain). ..because our country does not deserve intelligent people.
This country wants SC/ST/OBC etc to reath to the top irrespective of any conideration to MERIT.
SO let them pamper and nurture the fools and idiots and let them be deprived of really intelligent brains.
i didn't understand about it but i think internet is very important in our live..
CHRISTIAN TERROR WANTS TO DESTROY INDIA
Interview of a Christian Evangelist in India
By: Bandyopadhyay Arindam
The world today could have been a much better place for all of us, had we all refrained from trying to prove the superiority of our own religion………..
This is an interview of "Father Johnson’ after his award by the Government of India for his exemplary work in India in enlightening the people in the path of the ONLY God. Father Johnson returned to the USA after 10 years of service, to uplift the people of India in the name of God. The interview was taken in July 2005 by a journalist in Houston, USA……
Welcome home Father. You have been in India for 10 years, where "our mission’ is still going on. Tell me Father, how is India?
India is a fascinating country, a land of contrasts. Modern India is the largest democracy, the budding economic superpower, with the second-largest pool of scientists and engineers in the world. India is also the only surviving ancient civilization with over one sixth of the world population. At one time, not so long ago, when Europe was in the "dark ages’ and America was not even "discovered’, India was a far advanced and developed country with a contribution of over 25% of world GDP till the 17th century and far advanced in all aspects of life, be it knowledge, philosophy, science, mathematics, arts, astronomy or navigation.
Ella Wheeler Wilcox, (1850-1919), American poet and journalist, wrote “India – The land of Vedas, the remarkable works contain not only religious ideas for a perfect life, but also facts which science has proved true. Electricity, radium, electronics, airship, all were known to the seers who founded the Vedas.”
Dick Teresi, American author of "Lost Discoveries’ mentioned “Some one thousand years before Aristotle, the Vedic people asserted that the earth was round and circled the sun….Two thousand years before Pythagoras, philosophers in northern India had understood that gravitation held the solar system together, and that therefore the sun, the most massive object, had to be at its center….Twenty-four centuries before Isaac Newton, the Hindu Rig-Veda asserted that gravitation held the universe together….. The Sanskrit speaking people subscribed to the idea of a spherical earth in an era when the Greeks believed in a flat one…..The Indians of the fifth century A.D. calculated the age of the earth as 4.3 billion years; scientists in 19th century England were convinced it was 100 million years…”
Despite all its riches, history says that India never invaded any country. On the contrary, India has been repeatedly assaulted and conquered by numerous invaders and has been ruled by "foreigners’, first the Muslims and then the British for over a thousand years. India, before the advent of the British rulers, was a rich and prosperous country.
Rev. Jabez T. Sunderland (1842-1936), Unitarian minister and reformer, wrote that “…when the British first appeared on the scene, India was one of the richest countries of the world; indeed, it was her great riches that attracted the British to her shores. For 2,500 years before the British came on the scene and robbed her of her freedom, India was self-ruling and one of the most influential and illustrious nations of the world ….. This wealth was created by the Hindus’ vast and varied industries.”
What about Hinduism as a religion?
Hinduism has a deep philosophical and spiritual heritage that has repeatedly mesmerized the world including western scientists, leaders and philosophers. Despite propaganda to the contrary, Hindus, like us, believes in one Supreme God but they do so in many forms, that helps to develop personalized relations. Hinduism is the oldest major religion in the earth with 900 million followers. Unlike monotheistic institutionalized, religions like Judaism, Islam or Christianity, it is not based on any single prophet or scripture, but allows its followers all the freedom to pursue God and Truth in their own way, while living harmoniously with all creation.
We know that the Hindus are tolerant of other religions. Recently, UNESCO pointed out that out of 128 countries where Jews lived before Israel was created, only one, India, did not persecute them and allowed them to prosper and practice Judaism in peace. Similarly the Zoroastrians, when driven out of Persia by Islam were given shelter by the Hindus in India and still coexist in India peacefully. Very recently, the Dalai Lama, driven from Buddhist Tibet, has been accepted with open arms. Such is the ethos of Hinduism and India.
I have heard that Mark Twain once said that "In religion all other countries are paupers; India is the only millionaire’. I have also read Arnold Toynbee’s writing "…at the religious level, India has not been a recipient; she has been a giver. About half the total number of the living, higher religions are of Indian origin’. What do you think about it?
We know India gave birth to religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. Hinduism, though the predominant religion, has, to quote Aldous Huxley, "never been a persecuting faith, have preached almost no holy wars and have refrained from that proselytizing religious imperialism which has gone hand in hand with political and economic oppression of colored people.’
What many do not know and I will not elaborate further for obvious reasons, is that there are researchers who think that the teachings of Jesus Christ have something to do with the ancient wisdom of Vedas. The Hindu concepts of "karma’, and "reincarnation’, which are part of the New Age Movement that we see today, were not unknown to Jesus.
Then Father, why do we need to convert people in India?
You see, we in the western world, have the "white man’s burden’ of civilizing the rest of the world. We also have the need and desire to spread the message of Christ, since we believe that it is the ONLY way to salvation and all other nonbelievers will go to hell. The faith in Christianity is being eroded in Europe and America. That is why our Pope on his visit to India said, "Just as in the first millennium, the Cross was planted on the soil of Europe, and in the second on that of the Americas and Africa, we can pray that in the third Christian millennium a great harvest of faith will be reaped in this vast and vital continent.’
Why do you target India?
India is the right country because Hindu Indians are generally peace-loving tolerant, law abiding people who are truthful and virtuous. India"s devotion to being good rather than being clever comes nearer the heart of a true civilization, said W. J. Grant, in his book,
"The spirit of India’. The unsuspecting Indians have always welcomed everybody on their shore and still keep on doing so. You cannot say the same about a Muslim country or of communist China. You see Hindus are such naive – they go out of their way to say that "all religions are same – they all lead to God’. Christians and for that matter, no other religion, says that.
Where does your resource come from?
There are five major aid-giving countries, viz., USA, Germany, Britain, Italy and the Netherlands. According to the available data, in the last decade alone, foreign aid organizations received more than 2.5 billion dollars. This is only official statistics. According to the record and report of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the statistics about the foreign aid being received by Indian Non Government Organizations shows that 80% of it is meant only for the Christian organizations that have been buying their ways into the Indian society and converting unsuspecting people under the guise of social service.
How powerful is Christianity in India?
Oh, though we are only 2.4% of the population officially, we have a large control over the country because of our economic invasion. You see, the present leader of the main political party-The Congress Party of India is a Roman Catholic with close contact with the Vatican. There are Christian Chief ministers in 5 out of 29 states. Because of the British rule of India, we have a large section of the leaders of India who look up to us. Beli
My vote has always gone to NDA and I will continue to do so. There are two primary reasons for this:
1. Achievements of the Vajpayee led NDA in 5 years far superced the achievements of Congress in 60 yrs or so. Here I list a few signifiacnt ones.
INDIA NUCLEAR:
Arguably one of the most historic event in our political history.
BETTER TIES with US (Foreign policy perspective):
No matter how double faced we feel they are but the fact of the matter is that they are the world's superpower and good relations with US are always going to be fruitful. What needs to be seen here is that despite improving ties with US, NDA still managed to better ties with Russia which has always been a friend in need (remember how Russia sent their Nuclear submarines in 1971 when US had planned to attack India to protect Pakistan - an act that should always been remembered by us Indians). Not only Russia but NDA managed to improve ties with ISRAEL which Congress had long shied away from to please its muslim vote bank. Look how wise that move turned out in Kargil war and in present day Israel supplies most sophisticated weaponary to India surpassing Russia in 2009 as our biggest importer of military goods.
SETTING THE TONE FOR GROWTH:
Now if I can recall correctly, it was during Mr. Vajpayee's regime that all the MNC's had cropped up in India. Call centre's were never heard of and today its a source of income for millions of young Indain professionals.
2. I hate Congress and here's why:
VOTE BANK POLITICS: Its a common tactic used by congress and it has paid rich dividends in the past. But I doubt if it would work anymore. A slap in the face for congress came during Gujrat elections, when Narendar Modi had a landslide victory. Congress did manage to tarnish his repuatation for the Godhra riots (which he was proven not guilty by the court of law) but despite that it remains a fact that he is the most successful CM that India has and what he has done for Gujrat is commendable. Surprisingly congress seems to ignore all that and concentrates on other issues. The next best CM also comes from a BJP ally in Bihar, Mr. Nitish kumar, and the recent landslide victory in Bihar is a result of his good work.
LARGE SCALE CORRUPTION:
2G, Adarsh Society, CWG to name a few. I just read today in BBC that the loss to India due to Corruption in 60 years has been estimated to be around 500 Billion USD approx. Now considering out of 60 yrs congress ruled for 55, their share of this loss would come to be about 458 Billion. Thats a good enuogh reason for me to hate them.
GANDHI FAMILY RAJ:
Ok, this is something that I strongly disapprove of. You cannot be a PM of the country just because previously your family members have been at that post. A doctors son\daughter doesnt become a doctor without having to clear exams...I mean look at our current PM MMS. He deserves to be at that post. His educational qualifications are phenominal. But does Rahul baba or Aunty Sonia qualify this criteria. They are eligible just because they are GANDHI? This legacy has to come to an end.
I hope there are people out there who agree to what I have written and not vote for congress in the next elections. And for BJP\NDA to lead this country it is important that they have a clear majority unlike the last time. This way they wont bow down to coalition pressure and take strong decisions which I feel is a trademark of BJP.
Best Regards,
Varun
neither i favour upa nor bjp. i like a team of good people to run this country. these are my dream leaders!!!

Thats true when congress can not take any action against those who did blasts in various parts of country including Mumbai simply because they are Muslim in order to secure their vote bank than how can we trust this government, we are not safe in the hands of this govt. Lets get rid of this govt please go and cast your vote. Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
